Strengths are easy enough, just pick 2-3 that you have that would be of great value to the job. Usually you can find them right in the job description! The key is to tell them why, the more specific the better - an example of when you showed the particular strength.
The tough part of this for most people is weaknesses. It is VERY important NOT to claim to have none!!! Everyone has weaknesses, if you say none you are out of touch with reality, not forthright, bigheaded, etc - lots of bad traits in an employers eyes. Choose 1-2 weaknesses you have that you can turn into strengths and work out your speech. Good ones are perfectionism, caring too much about the customer so that its a bit of a time drain, and anything not directly related to the job - for example I'm in HR and I am bad at accounting, this is true and works for me in interviews. But remember you have to speak about positively and thoughtfully - it is something you are aware of and actively seeking to improve, and working on it has helped you develop yourself more, and give example of why/how.

Mention a non-serious weakness and what you are doing to overcome it.
e.g.: I used to smoke in college until I found myself needing a cig after every class. I forced myself to ignore the urge until college was over. I then used the willpower I gained from that success to cut down to only 2 cigs a day: one after breakfast and one after college.
Don't be too frank and say that you are lazy or that you bluff (I have had people who said that)!
Mention strengths that show in your personality. The interviewer should not have to stretch his imagination to believe them.
e.g.: don't say 'self-confidence' when you are trembling with nervousness in your seat!
e.g.: if you have a nice smile (ask your friends) say you are friendly and people feel at ease with you.

tell that my strength is my communication and confidence, understanding what pple want ,tell that u make friends easily but u also know to keep the disatance,finaly say that u r weakness is not ur strength and have a smile at the end of ur statement.

FIRST FEEL in your imagination what would be like instrenghs not in actual terms. dont tell real r exaggerated answers. but suitable to the committee people like miss world tell something just for best impression how to serve indian poor people. but actually not so. same way dont reveal sincere weaknesses. read organisational structure how the employee attitude behaviour character is . what u say is most imp but not how u would be.
