i never had a tree house but i always wanted one, and still do. i think that i never had one because i never had the right type of tree in my yard, and i actually wanted one in a tree not a free standing one, but that would have been better than nothing. i think that more parents should build their children tree houses because if they have a ladder to climb up they will get more exercise, as long as they know to be careful in it since they could fall out of the tree house. i think that many parents do just buy their children what they want and i think that there are less, and less tree houses. unfortunatly, there are also more and more overweight children.

I think today's world is all about computers and the trade of carpenter is slowly becomes the thing of the past, because the Carpenter today has to work two jobs to make a living, so there no time for building tree houses for their kids. Alot of people today have no skills to build things but asked them to build a website that a different story........

There is no imagination in the world anymore! Parents have better things to do and the kids end up getting into trouble. That's why today's kids are the way they are! They are not like when I was a kid. Parents did things that were fun with their kids then and today the same parents who's parents did things with them don't do for their kids the same way! They sort of forget their own childhood and tell their own kids to go find something to do and to leave them alone!! It is very sad to see this happen!!

We bulit our son a house up in the tree in backyard. The only problem was he likes animals so much that when a bird decided to build a nest there this spring he didn't use it till her and her children grew and left. After that I crawled up there cleaned it out and he is using it again but has put birdhouse on it now.

They buy them stuff. Thats not to say that thats right! Quality time with children is very important and much appreciated. They certianly appreciate time and fun more than playstations. Treehouses are fantastic, but don't be tempted to buy one. Most of the fun derives from building and repairing it. A perfect treehouse rarely gets used. Enjoy!

I think they just buy them. It is easier and if you aren't good at building it is safer.
