It's about people (Bushy people) spreading the word "terror" for political gain.

Remember weapons of mass destruction?

More like weapons of mass corruption.

Without being too lengthy it depends on which way you look at it. On one hand you have the Terrorists who are undoubtedly causing anarchy across the world. Then you have the Politicians who are seemingly trying to stop this and using life by means on that.

To sum up my thinking; Terrorism cannot be about political gain due to the severeness of it all. For Example 9/11, The London Bombings, The Madrid Bombings, The Bali Bombings etc. Have all caused thousands upon thousands of innocent life loss. Terrorists are people who say I can do this and I will do this, whereas Politicians are saying I can stop you, (and to the public) if you want me to stop them using X, Y & Z then vote for me.

Hope this helps

:-)

in order to achieve political goals, groups resort to violence. when they feel that they need more publicity for their cause, and sometimes because they can't defeat an army, they start targetting civilians. the hope is that fear in a civilian population will be a motivating factor in creating political change, though it is rarely successful.

to many, the reason they get involved is simply to kill. the notoriety of murder appeals not just to the politically motivated but the criminally insane.

Depends on the terrorist.
If it's a palestinian youth he is desperate enough to think there is something to be gained for his people by killing himself and others
If it's the president of a country it's for political and financial gain.

The organisers are seeking political power. While encouraging their followers along one ideological path they have their own agenda. This argument is reinforced by the fact that no terrorist leader, that I know of, has ever been a suicide bomber or given up his life for the cause willingly. They recruit gullible fools for that sacrifice.

Um, it really depends on the group who's doing it and their particular agenda. There is no single reason why people commit acts of terrorism, anymore than theres a single reason why people travel.

It's called terrorism for a reason. It doesn't work if you can't scare people.
