Customer loyalty and name recognition. Those are about the only two things keeping the company afloat right now. From an organizational and product standpoint, Ford is in deep trouble.

They are good at manufacturing large gas guzzling "utility" vehicles and pick-up trucks with "great" aero-dynamics; trucks that last at least 3 years! before falling appart, and are mostly used to move around a single driver to and from work with the great mileage of 12-15 miles per gallon! They are good at offering a line-up of 20 guzzlers to the American consumer in a moment when the national average gas price is over $3 per gallon... They are good at offering zero percent financing & employee-discount to non-employees, in order to sell the guzzler product. And lastly, when the incentives fail to sell the great product, they are (VERY) good at laying off people, in order to recover from bad business and financial planning.

Cus you know, in the end, all that matters is the prosperity and continuation of the company- so that we can enjoy them jumbo guzzlers for many years to come!
