Reverse Osmosis.

City of Kenosha, WI, USA has adopted it, for the whole city water supply.

It is designed to allow indefinite expansion of capacity as needed.

It is a modular system. Modules are added to meet the demand and quick change replacement system is use to repair modules off line.

PS

The system removes every thing, supplies pure water of distilled quality. They are not chlorinating or fluoridating.

Reverse Osmosis, popularily known as RO system, although im not very sure but it was designed initially for astronuts.
