For example if a girl makes out with a guy at a party, she will be thought of as a "sl*t" despite being a virgin. Males especially will judge the girl even if they themselves have done much more. Yet nobody will judge the guy!

It takes two to tango.

In my eyes, they're all sl*ts, male or female. Anyone, regardless of thier gender, that engages in promiscuous behavior doesn't have respect for themselves. Unfortunatley, women are looked at differently in this situation and have been for a very long time. It's been like this for so long, that it's not going to change quickly. So, the best thing you can do is to carry yourself with respect, and be picky with who you let into your world.

In many societies, men are "expected" to be more experienced...some link it to a (supposed) genetic component of men relating to the hunter-gatherer days where men spread their seed as far as they could to help ensure the continuation of the human race. Women, back in that day, were tied to the children and thus the man who fathered the children - so it was presumed she would remain faithful to him.

In today's times, in many societies, women are considered easy or slutty if they mess around, and the men are considered heros... I'm not sure why this is true, although it is extremely annoying. Of course, a woman's only real defense is to make sure she doesn't engage in behaviour where people will speak badly of her to begin with - and to avoid associating with man-whores, who will probably give her something anyway. Men and women BOTH need to respect themselves, and each other, more.

as the other person says, religion was one thing in the past. but thats not exactly why it still is like that today. People are people, and you can't change that, some people though think they are better than everyone else. it does also come from the past when women would be home cooking, cleaning, or something like that and men would be out doing hard work, it just sort of comes together and it still is today. some men just think they are better than women

Because "society" is geared toward the flesh, and sex is the pinnacle of fleshly expression. We have become so oriented to sex by the media that we think of everything in terms of sex. Sex is the strongest draw of the flesh and it is very hard to eliminate it from the thought processes.

It goes back to the negative religious influence over society that perpetuates patriarchal chauvinism.
