((2 x 5) - (1/2 x 10)) x 9 = 45

so do what is in the brackets first...

2 x 5 = 10
1/2 x 10 = 5

You now have 10 - 5 x 9 = 45

Which should make a bit more sense.

It is not possible because multiply and division are before sum and minus!
if you do this 2*5=10
1/2*10*9=45
so it is impossible
