I'm looking for some sort of club membership or generally something scheduled to do to meet up with well-educated people who have taste and are interesting - I just haven't a clue what it could be. I don't play any instruments, and sports bore me. Is there some club or organization where people just meet up to hang out with a Brandy, smoking Cuban cigars, and do not discuss politics or religion (can't stand those topics), but, who knows, literature or mysticism?
I'd be really grateful if you had any ideas for me.
Thanks!

I find Pagan groups fun. There is a big variety to choose from as well.

Our local museums offer lectures on many topics besides politics/religion and typically hold receptions afterward. You could try to get this started if it's not happening already.

Take a lit/mysticism/philosophy class. Join a book group in your town or try starting one - check out an independent bookstore or new age store for leads/tips/venue. Maybe start volunteering at a library. Mensa might have meetings near you.

not to be rude, but your question sounds incredibly arrogant. i suppose if you've got the smarts for it, you could join Mensa. i applied & was accepted by them. i went to one meeting and found them all to be boring beyond belief. but they all loved drinking brandy, smoking overpriced cigars, and patting themselves on the back. enjoy.
