I think you need to look inside yourself for the answer to that. Whom do you admire? What do you think that you could provide? Do you want to do something that has future benefits to you or to someone else? Do you think you might get too attached to your new project? For whom do you feel sorry? Do you think you need to feel like you have made progress or see constructive results?

You want to volunteer with an organization that can make the best use of your talents and skills. What are your strengths? If you are good with children, volunteer with a youth organization (Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Big Brothers/Sisters, etc.). If you work well with the elderly, volunteer at a nursing home. I coach Special Olympic athletes and I love it. They provide me with hope and inspiration. Check your phone book for organizations that appeal to you and give them a call. You may want to look at something in your field to - your college major. That looks good on your resume.

do something where you have an interest in it, such as if you like animals try the pet shelter, elderly - a nursing home, children - a daycare. You will enjoy your commu ity service more and just may continue it after the project is over.
