We're raised on disposable products designed to make things easier, drive cars to get us there faster,e-mail instead of letters, telephones instead of visits. What are we rushing towards, and what's so great about saving time when we don't really use it for anything worthwhile.(This is not for those that have fulfilling lives, only those that feel something missing, like I do.No,it's not Jesus, either!)

I knew the point would be missed. It's not about just MY doing it,but society. Thus the reason I put it in Society and Culture.Otherwise,I would put it in Individual problems that don't concern anyone else.

Tired of plastic? Well, I'm not sure that is what I'm tired of. Although, it's being researched on it's dangers and throwbacks. There are so many warnings concerning certain uses of plastic that I choose to use very little in my home.

What I'm really tired of is that so many people choose to throw plastic products on the highways and Mother Earth herself. It DISGUSTS me to see those disposable diapers on the roadsides and in parking lots. I've also seen plastic motor oil containers just dumped the same way. Our landfills are full of plastic bags, toys, containers, etc. This did not become a problem until about 45 years ago.

When a product says "disposable", I generally shun from it because I know that's exactly what it means. It goes to the landfills, the roads, the parking lots, our parks, lakes, rivers and oceans. And this is creating horrible problems regarding our precious wildlife. I see plastic shopping bags hanging on fences, soda bottles, almost full, dropped or thrown out of cars. Our nation needs to be educated in the use of plastic. No, that's not a joke. I've never in my life seen so many wasteful and lazy people. We've become a society of slobs!

Recyclable items need to be recycled! I've been doing this for many, many years. I choose not to live a "throw-away" life.

So it's not the plastic that I hate, it's the lazy, careless lives of our people today!

Protect our Earth, before there is no Earth to protect.

We've become a culture of convenience. Faster, stronger, easier, hence, the Lazy-boy, computers, remote controls, vidoe games... and people wonder why our children are overweight and have no imagination...obviously, we don't care what this does to ourselves, our children or the planet. We use and throw away, and throw away, and throw away...disposable only came about because we don't feel like we are saving ourselves some chores. And not even Jesus would want chores right after dinner...

These things are available to you to make you're life easier, however you do not have to use them if you do not want to ! And a lot of people appreciate the time that these things save and unlike you, most people use this free time to there advantage ! There are some communities in the northeast that do not believe in cars, phones, and electricity, perhaps you could join them !!
