Because the U.S. does not have diplomatic relations with Iran. In the world of international politics, a national leader doesn't talk directly with another leader with whom you have no diplomatic relations. Simply put, it's because of protocol.

Aside from the aforementioned, who would would want to speak to a man who denies the Holocaust happened and thinks a whole people (Jews) should be destroyed? I personally would consider it pointless to talk to such a person whose perceptions of reality verge on insanity.

Because Bush has his mind made up and there's no changing it. Iran could blow up all their nuclear power plants and he'd find some reason to still want to go after them. Plus, if you put those two mental giants in the same room, the combined IQ would be less than 10 and its obvious nothing would get done. As long as they're an Islamic nation, the Iranians will remain part of Bush's "axis of evil" and those are places which are on the Crawford Clown's hitlist.

Bush don't need to debate with anyone. He is not smart enough. I would say let Bill or Hillary Clinton do that job.

But the US Government is trying to show that we do not talk with terrorist. They lay down their arms or die.

However even the local police talk with the hijackers and kidnappers and others. But only till they can get them lined up in a sharpshooter scope. So Why is simple it is not how we do business and deal with crime.

There's really nothing to talk about. A man who denies the holocaust while trying to get the bomb must be opposed. We shouldn't try to negotiate with such a fella. What are we gonna say "Give up the bomb but you can keep pumping out Hezbollah" ? Or "hit Israel with an atomic weapon as opposed to a hydrogen one"?

There's nothing to discuss with that monkey!

Forget it. Bush will not back down. He considers Iran to be very dangerous. Why should he meet with him after all the garbage that has spud out of his month about Israel.

Maybe its time for these leaders to actually do their job and solve some issues. If sitting down in the same room with this guy may work then lock them in a room a keep it locked until they find a solution.

Because if the two of them got into a public debate, Bush would lose. Not because he's wrong, but because he stinks at public speaking, and Ahmadenijhad is actually quite charasmatic (although evil).

We do not negotiate with terrorists. If he has nothing to hide why does Mahmud Ahmadinedad want to negotiate?
