As a sea, the Caribbean would be the most correct answer. Then the Gulf of Mexico, which is the major sea of the area and is an extension of the Atlantic Ocean. Probably, defined as a sea, the Caribbean is the best and most adequate answer.

It's called the Atlantic Ocean of One side and the Gulf Of Mexico on the other:).
But I think You refering to the Saragossa Sea" that section of the Atl;antic where huge areas of the sea contains floating grass of which myths are made about creatures in it. Columbus and other Sailors wrote of the Saragossa sea and the dangers they thought it ciontained. but as it turned out it offered not trouble to passing ships unless there were no trade winds blowing.
