My dad is 53 and has decided this year not to hunt with a regular bow. He wants a cross bow. What's the best?

I don't know too much about cross bows, but I know he wants one that is like a rifle...not a hand cross bow. We looked at Horton cross bows...but I need something a little cheaper.
