This is the amount you are allowed to take on your person onto the plane . You are still able to take the required amount with you for your holiday i;e 2 weeks worth of medicines / pill`s etc but these you must pack into your main luggage that go`s in the cargo hold . If you are taking a large amount of prescription medicine best to get a covering letter off your doctor stating it is a requirement for your health . i know some countries do not allow any medicine with codeine in them ( in turkey it is classed as an illegal drug ) but it`s OK to have them with a doctors letter . Enjoy your holiday .

It works out at about 3oz but I have never had trouble bringing medication over in my suitcase. Depending how long you are coming for but you should be OK as long as you have a note from your GP stating that you take the prescribed medication or medications and that should suffice.

This is to do with the hand luggage restrictions, if you need to take medication during your journey this is the amount you can have with you on the plain. You can, however pack the rest in your luggage. Hope this helps

50 grams is quite a lot. Most medicines are in Millilitres(ml) and Milligrams(mg). Milli means one thousandth. So you can take 50,000 mg of your medicine with you.

divide 50,000 by the dosage on the prescription, which is given in mg usually.

To give you a "feel" for it,
50 g = 100 Tylenol 500's (not prescription, I know)
........= 1,000 doses of 50 mg
........= 5,000 doses of 10 mg
