Never

Sure, years ago. Nobody thought much about it then. I wouldn't do it today for any amount of money. Something funny; I was riding with a friend who stopped to pick up two guys hitchhiking. Larry, just popping off, said to them, Give me your guns and get in. Each of them handed a pistol through the window.

I have never picked one up and I don't think I would, but it is sooo funny you asked this question. Yesterday, my son and I were walking on a major, busy street and an older lady offered to give us a ride. I was shocked and I declined her offer, but who does that nowadays?

I never have and never will. But my dad use to, and made them sit in the back of the pickup,no matter the weather. But, we were all in the cab. If we were riding in the back, he would pass them by. This was 30+ years ago, and it wasn't safe back then either.

yes, sure have

and yes...i sure would

here are my personal guidelines:

1-never pick up a lone male
2-never pick up someone when i am alone
3-put myself in that person's situation (standing beside a broken car in the pouring rain with a baby on her hip) and decide if its worth the risk

i have broke rules 1 & 2

what if that hitcher was Jesus?

Yes. But only a few times. I am glad to give someone a ride if they look friendly.

I did in my younger days. I've gotten wiser in my old age and wouldn't do it again.
