I believe there are facts in the book. But on a whole, the storyline is fiction. However, the holy grail is not a chalice. And Mary Magdelenes writings concerning Jesus have been burned so as to be kept out of the bible. I do believe she was his wife, and a daughter named Sarah was their child. The church has hidden many things from people so they could direct our beliefs to suit their needs. And the bible is a work of fiction. Translated over and over by man for his own power.

There are elements of truth in his novel but it is mainly fictional. Sadly too many people seem to think it is totally factual. Just enjoy the book for what it is... A nice little story.

It is in fact fiction. However, its plot is also a theory based on different myths associated with the catholic church and the Templars. What makes it really weird is that the plot is very possible. However, none is provable at this time. So, for now, its fiction.

No, it's definately fiction. But obviously plausible enough to get the Vatican worried. He's done his research well and used some real theories, but it is a work of fiction. I bet he can't understand what all the fuss is about!

It is fiction - but the content has raised quite a stir in the religious community, as it suggests the teachings of the bible have left out certain historical details.

It's in the fiction section at the library.
So I would take it at that. Alot of fiction books are almost believable that's what makes them so interesting.

When he talks about the Last Supper painting, that's valid. Look up the original painting on Google images to see.
