I put in a set of 2-prong(or two lead) Bosch Platinums about 12,000 miles ago in a 300E Benz. I used to run a standard platinum Bosch plug, and wonder if the price to 'upgrade' is really worth it.

Any input?

First of all, I would sell that pos "E Class" and buy a real car. If you are going to brag about owning a benz, I would have expected at least an "S Class"...and the big mac comparison is getting a little old guy.

do no longer USE BOSCH PLUGS IN A TOYOTA NGK or NIPPENDENSO! I paintings at a Toyota dealership's provider dept. Bosch plugs do no longer paintings nicely in jap engines. Even the engineers cant tell me precisely why, yet I see far too many automobiles with drivability issues the place the owner tells me they only positioned new plugs in and then a little while later the motor vehicle runs like crap. useful adequate they have Bosch platinum's in the engine. I pull them out, positioned the inventory plug in and concern solved.

I've heard of several magazines testing these and finding that the single prong plugs generally work at least as well if not better.

results? first off, how do you gap them? you might start seeing my issue. platinums or multi ground plugs are for people who do not use regular maintenance.
platinums are like a colder fire as well. they just wear longer without gap erosion. in order to gain performance, you will need secondary ignition upgrades as well as primary.

No. I think they do not last as long and because of the extra cost are not worth it.
