Ok... here it goes.
we start out with a powder that is half powdered sugar(C12H22O11), and half Chalk(Calcium carbonate). Measure out one gram of the mixture. What are some ways to seperate the two powders(the chalk and sugar) from each other? We have HCL, Bunsen Burners, H2O, filter paper, and instuments to mix. how can they be separated?

thank you. :)

when you mix sugar and chalk powder in water. sugar make homogeneous mixture(called true solution) this will pass through the filter paper while mixture of chalk and water is heterogeneous mixture so it can be separated out by filter paper.
