have you thought about linking your skills and perhaps using your nursing and pottery/art skills together? you could look into art therapy - take a course in this part time alongside work, and maybe end up offering your time on a freelance basis. you're then not stuck to the nhs, and there will always be homes etc needing this kind of thing. also, with your skills, working with people with additional issues should come naturally - have you thought about adapting WHO you work with.....like, working with offenders/difficult young people etc who also need this kind of therapy?
or, maybe go into pottery full time. half the time you could be producing your own stuff to take in some money, and the other half of the time you could be teaching others and passing on your pottery skills. after all, with a broad artistic knowledge and temperament, you could pretty much come up with some totally new idea about mixing media (pottery/photography/art/textiles) that alot of people will be interested in.
it sounds to me like you would like to widen your horizons anyway, so something new and different surely couldnt hurt in giving you a fresh new perspective and outlook on life :)
good luck!!!

My friend Since you already have a computer I would try this! I have been working for SFI for the last 2 months and have found that this site is safe and legit, I hated the scams that the Internet had to offer, I would tell you to also look into SFI for the possibilities of the check amount are endless, You get free resources on hand and there is hidden cost or charges toward you, in your resources you will find Free Flyer templates, E-cards, Websites that are already done for you, and your own on line store and you get to work your own hours! All this for free! who could ask for more? I use to be the type to say "If it sounds to good to be true, Then it is to good to be true!." This I have a wayward feeling on now that I have seen what SFI has done for me!, I wish you the best in your search for the right business opportunity but If I were you I would look into this one! Opportunity Knocks, Are you going to answer this door? If you need any further help or have any questions about SFI I would be more than glad to assist you, I have also constructed a short SFI starter presentation that I could email you if you like, Just contact me At SFI_Landeros@yahoo.com and I can assist you further, Again Good Luck and I hope for your success! Blue

Become a full time first aid trainer.
get a teaching first qualification to add to your nursing qualification and you have a selling point that the majority of first aid trainers dont have.
You could start a small company doing this with others working for you.
target big companies first as they all have a legal requirement and go from there.
If you wish to combine the crative side and the nursing side use your contacts to help design a rehabilitation programme or tool for physically or brain injured people.

I would advise you to go back into the more reliable, job, and design ceramics, maybe ,also do some evening courses,in case you decide to branch out,and start your own business,You can not depend on your security,in the NHS,and they are cutting back on agency and bank nurses.Maybe, you could rent your house out,to pay the mortgage and go overseas.

What about Occupational Health? Or, for a complete change, how about opening up a store where customers pay to learn about pottery and make something and children can have pottery parties. I've seen a few in the US and they seem popular.
