Johnny Cash was very supportive of Dylan during his early career. He influenced record company execs & featured Dylan on his TV shows. Bob has frequently spoken of the debt he owes to the Man in Black, so you could say without Cash there would be no Dylan! This is a very good question. I'd say Johnny Cash

That depends entirely on wether your a fan of great MUSIC or great MEANING behind the songs. Either way its going to be Johnny Cash because he gave the world so much. He may be considered as just a country musician but people from all backgrounds of music agree he is a great infulence. For example, when he performed at Venom, Johnny Depp's bar aimed at heavy rock music, afew decades ago, he came to that and played a back catalouge of his music and sent the audience wild!
I have to say the Man In Black gets my vote.

I love Johnnys daughter Roseanne and step daughter Carlene. Roseanne used to be one of my favorite country singers in the 80s.

In Britain we've hardly heard of Cash.
