t really depends on the LOCATION you choose for the tattoo and the SIZE as well as your tolerance for pain! I have a little tattoo on my left shoulder blade and when it was being done, it only felt as irritating as an itchy tag from a shirt :)

I think it depends on the size of the tattoo, where it is located, and your tolerance for pain. I have a butterfly in the middle of my lower back. I would say that the outline was god-awful...it hurt so back, I nearly passed out. But after that, the rest of the color and stuff, really wasn't too bad.

In short - yes.
How much it hurts will depend on how sensitive the area of your body is. Your bottom will hurt less than your ankle! Also, obviously, the size of the tattoo will make a difference.

Of coarse it hurts , but if you want to endure it you might get what you want. A nice tattoo that represents something you are true to or a personality traits.
It is needle spraying permanent ink on your skin it should hurt....but it all depends on your tolerance to pain. Some people have a stronger tolerance to pain. Once you get one, you want more.

I've never had one, but have watched people getting them. When the needles are applied, the person getting the tattoo seems to turn a very pale shade of green.

The outline hurts a little..the coloring isnt bad, just anoying..i got one on my stomach about 3 yrs ago..love it and want another one...I am a big wimp when it comes to pain so trust me you will be fine. Just remember what ever you choose is permanent so get something you really like.

Tattoos give the most excruciating pain EVER!!!
- I have one on my back...the pain was almost unbearable!
But I just tried to be strong and get thru it!!!!
Just like someone else mentioned...it depends on your tolerance level for pain!!!

Um, they do it with NEEDLES. In your skin. YEAH it hurts! My friend who has lots says it's like being dragged over cement! But the hurt goes away eventually, and then you have a picture on you forever (or a word, or whatever), so choose wisely!

Yeah it does...I have three of them: one on either ankle and one on my right wrist...hurts but not so much that you can't bear it. I did have the most pain with my third one, mainly because I had a reaction to the orange ink they used. It's been 4 months and it still gives me a problem...I still have to use ointment on it.
