You can find stronger stuff at the hardware store just look around or invest in a toilet auger.

Chemical drain cleaners are generally used to clear hair/grease type clogs in smaller drain lines like sinks. A toilet has a drain of larger diameter and i suspect you are dealing with a blockage caused by an object that has been flushed. Chances are this won't be resolved by a chemical drain cleaner because if wont dissolve the object. You will need to use a plumbers snake or auger to physically remove or break-up the object. There are professional drain cleaners that are exothermic(actually heat up to melt stubborn grease clogs). They are usually two parts, a crystal solid that you pour in first, followed by a liquid activator. They work really well on hair/grease clogs. Try a plumbing supply house for stronger products if you know for sure its that kind of clog.

Chances are solid objects are falling into your toilet from a shelf above, kids, pets, etc. The toilet has a bend in it and solid objects can get stuck so you need a toilet auger to break them up or remove them. The drain pipe is about 6" in diameter so I can't image anything getting stuck in there past the toilet. Don't waste your money on drain cleaner- it doesn't work in the toilet. There's a joke there somewhere!

Have you tried a plunger? If that doesn't work, I believe the next step would be to use a tool called a plumber's snake (or hand auger) which can reach down into your pipes. Maybe ask around and borrow one.

have you tried..shutting off the water on the back of the toilet..then try to remove as much of the water that is sitting on the bowl
now keep plunging and plunging..I have tried this and it seems to work better than keeping the water in the bowl

You should dump an entire bottle of nitro glycerine down your toilet, and then drop a lit match in it. How fun would that be...?

they make pump up plungers that work on everything...they shoot a shot of air down the pipe shooting the clog away every time.
