nintendo wii, dude, it owns!

because the prices vary so much it's hard to say.
Xbox360; $300 basic, $400 fully loaded.
Wii; $250, 300 or so for fully loaded.
PS3; $499 20GB, $599 60GB, $700 fully loaded.

Needless to say you could by the Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii for the single price of the fully loaded PS3.

Xbox since it's debut has surprisingly been pretty competative and offered a variety of games. Though it's only real trade mark game was Halo. It delevored what it said it would which was great game play and awsome graphics. With it's announcment to have GTA4 on the new Xbox 360 this might be quite interesting.

The Nintendo Wii is one of those companies that has offered family fun entertainment while still keeping up with demands for grahics. Though they fell behind in the late 90s and were virtually invisble in early 2k. They have rebounded with the hype from there Nintendo Wii. The such classic characters as Donkey Kong, Link ( from Zelda ) and Mario. They are family and nostalga favorites. Not to mention the great and reliable Game Boy systems. There history is there nitch. Though they have lost popularity and often been compared to the Parents or Kids console for there lack of gore and violent games. They offer quality and a consistant pace.

PlayStation was the Reckingball in the gaming console while many other consels before it's time had slow progression and were focused on 2D games PS decided that it was to constraining to stick to the old and made it there goal to only invest in 3D games. They were and still are inovators. They shook the industry that was later rocked by Xbox. PlayStation has been consistant in it's devlopment with that of Metal Gear Solid, GTA and Major Leage Sports games.

I Love Xbox, I think nintendo is fun, PS is a great console. However PS3 has showen to be arragont and thinks that because they lable there game console as a " PC " that some how that will justify the price. I think this will be there down fall. It's been said over and over again. You could by a Wii and an Xbox for the price of a PS3. PS has been slow in developing there Online play while Nintendo just recently decided to add such cabablities. Both of which didn't see the value in playing others online which was obviously a huge over site. Then with the price of Games. PS is going to be head for rough waters.

I'll get the Xbox 360. Then in a year or 2 the PS3 when it's much cheaper.

the wii sounds gay as hell and have yet to see nintendo make a decent controler other than N64's
ps3 is too expensive
and x-box has less than 10 games i would consider playing that isnt also on ps2

and theres always backwards compatibility to consider
i have yet to find a list

none of these systems are impressive considering todays technology...
whoever makes a .DOT/hack type VR system would completely dominate the competition, and would probably win a Nobel prize

at this moment the idea is only about ten years away from fruition if they were to work on it,
