Is the Dont Speak video what actually happened to No Doubt and is that why they split up

Interesting....I think u might just be right. Have they split up officially tho? I thought Gwen was doing her own thing for a while but that they'd record more stuff in a while...
The song was about Gwen's break-up with band member Tony but the video was about her over-shadowing the rest of the group.

Yes, gwen stefani is the reason for no doubts demise. They were a punk/ska band, but gwen made em go all poppy crap, and because she is the hot front girl of the band, the label probably just said, what gwen wants, gwen gets. I don't know that they ever broke up, but thats why their last albums have mostly sucked ( there are a few good songs...but mostly sucked)

gwen stefani was no longer heart broken. no heart-wrenching, make-you-want-to-cry-while-eating-ice-cream songs were coming out of her little finger tips.
no. they didn't "split up" as well until about two cds later.
and i don't believe they officially split up, gwen went about a solo career and left the boys in her dust.
and in one of her most recent singles, "cool", it is referencing how she and the bassist from No Doubt, a.k.a. her ex beau, were all good.

Don't speak was a song dedicated to the coloured guy in the band who is her ex.
They certainly went downhill & her solo stuff is very pop.
She is married to my wife's fav guy so she hates Steffani because of that.
They're no big loss to the music world.

I don't really remember the video, but I know Gwen Stefani wrote for one of the band members when he broke up with her.

No, I think it was the fact that she went solo and got married and had a little boy. I never heard that they broke up. Just trying new venues.

That was about her and her ex-boyfriend, who was in the band. Since they've had albums out after Tragic Kingdom, you're question makes no sense, and you should be punched in the face.
