feeder fish are probably guppies and goldfish will breed, no matter where u get them at, but u have to have the right enviroment, heating, light, food, space . . . goldfish are egglayers and i do not recomend them as a first time breeder

Yupp my gold fish from the Fair ( 8 yrs AGO!!!) is HUGE i swear, you know Oscar fish? Well it looks like that, i belive it breeded w/ one when a lil oscar fish was little

I have never seen anyone get them home alive, so I can't say whether they breed. I would think they breed someplace since they are not extinct or endangered.

When they are at least one year old, have ideal water conditions and a good variety in their diets, and have grass or something to spawn on

They certainly can, although I'm not sure that they'll do it very often in captivity.
