It is true that once the baby gets bigger and you are almost there, it doesn't really have much room to move. However, you should still feel some movement. Just to be on the safe side hun, contact your doctor and they may have you come in. Good luck!

I don't believe that this is so your baby may move less once the head is in the birthing canal but not feeling your baby move is dangerous, and you should go to your doctor, I had a still birth for my first pregancy at 8 months of gestation and didn't realize that the what I was feeling was not the baby's movements but rather the body preparing to abort the fetus. Please seek medical attention you should feel your baby move more because he is bigger and there is less room in your womb you will be more uncomfortable also especially if the baby is tall 22" or more. Please don't wait go today or call emergency to speak to a pediatric nurse or someone who knows.

The baby does not move as much simply because the area in which it can move is now limited.
Braxton Hicks contractions start around the fourth month of pregnancy. It is the body's way of preparing for labor. The largest part of women do not even feel them until they are much further along in their pregnancy. A lot of first time pregnant women worry that they will not be able to recognize actual labor when it starts because they do feel the Braxton Hicks contractions. I assure you, you will know. Real labor contractions are much more regular and as they progress, get stronger. Yes, when you are in actual, active labor, you will know.
Congradulations on your pregnancy.

Yes- they are practice contractions called 'braxton hicks'
Giving you an idea of what they feel like..
Not like on the day when baby has decided to put in an entrance. They get stronger with time, and less time between each pain until there is literally 2 minutes between the pains, and then baby is born.
U will know when it's time.

The baby does move a little less. That is because the baby is growing and there isn't much room.

this is true when you are close to meeting you baby their are less movements because the baby can hardly move inside your uterus. your body starts doing practise contractions from around six weeks most of the time you cant feel them but believe me when the labour starts you know it if you are unsure phone you midwife
