No offense to Phoenix...but who are you to talk about Brazil's environmental protection when the US is the one of the worst in the world.

Personally I loved Brazil....my husband is from Rio and I visited Rio and Natal where his family now lives. I really loved Natal especially. The people are great, the food is wonderful and the land is so diverse. Hopefully if I can learn the language some day we can move there and retire.

First of all Araujojessica9 is WRONG with the fact that the United States is the worst for environmental protection, ect. We have more State and National parks than any other country in the world. They are PROTECTED by the government and local troopers, ect. I think were doing a good job compared to India . . . in India more than half of there power comes from coal power, polluting the earth. There is a coal power plant in almost every Indian city . . . can't say that for the U.S. can you? As for Brazil I agree with the other answer that they don't do a good job for environmental protection. They are removing all that rain forest to build factories, and house's and industry. When was the last time we removed a forest the size of Delaware, in the U.S? Pretty much never before.

Here is a picture of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil in 1985:

Here is the same area, same picture, but in 1992:

Just look at the difference.

Other than that stuff, I think Brazil is a nice country. From what I can tell, there is alot of crime and drugs there. People seem friendly, but there also seems to be alot of Ant Americans. Lot's of poor, LOTS of poor, and many rich.
