You can get eye drops from any chemist or supermarket. I find that central heating causes my eyes to dry up.

There are a couple of things that help. First thing in the morning, wet a washcloth with water as warm as you can comfortably place over your eye area. Hold it in place for a few minutes. This activates the oil glands in the eyelashes and helps keep the eyes from drying out. The second thing is the use of artificial tears. You can use these as often as you need and they are safe and economical OTC drops. My opthamologist recommends ONLY artificial tears to keep the eyes moist and refreshed.

The drops used specially for contact lens wearers is fantastic. It has like a lubricant in it and makes your eyes feel good.

Get a pair of swimming goggles and fill them up with water and wear them. Every few days replace the water. You could even throw in a fish for decoration.

They have eye drops at the pharmacy that are artificial tears. It is better and more lubricating than just regular eye drops.

There is an ointment you can put on them at night when you are sleeping. Muro 128 ointment (not drops) is good, but expensive. There may be a more inexpensive ointment...ask a pharmacist.
