Man or woman is just too weak to accept that God is a creation of the mind.
Seeing God, realizing God all these are other creations of the mind.
It is like your mind has created God and then the same mind is seeking it and then the same mind discovers / realizes it.
So it is just a game of mind in mind. Nothing significant, nothing concrete, nothing real. Only make-believe of the mind.
But man or woman is just too weak to give up something they find so easy to cling to.
That's the reality !

That God doesn't exist is itself an opinion, not something based on fact. I won't get into the proofs that are available, but will say that one can not definitively prove that God doesn't exist. Valid arguments can be made to support either position. Ultimately, a person weighs the evidence available and makes a decision. Then, they live their life based on that belief. If a person's life is based on a belief in God, then it can't be considered a "waste of valuable time" because every person's time is theirs to use as they see fit and your idea of what's valuable may in fact be frivolous.
I suspect that your question comes from all the religious strife you see in the world today. But, consider that atrocities were are are also committed by "Godless" states such as the Soviet Union and North Korea.
As to the question why do people run to God, the answer is that it's obvious that man has been unable to solve problems such as war, hunger, and death. People look to a higher power to solve these problems just as a child will look to its parents to solve a problem. For some people, this higher power is God; others look for extraterrestrials; still others look to man-made organization such as the United Nations.

First of all, you were not around for thousands of years to know if God has proven himself to us or not. "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe." And yes, you were born from a biological process between your parents, but how exactly do you think the human race came about, a giant ball of dust? How is religion a waste of a life? A waste of a life is wandering around without anything to do except live. I think you should respect other people's beliefs, no matter how much you disagree with them. I respect yours, although I think you are wrong. Now just stop trying to prove God doesn't exist, because it's impossible, and do whatever it is you do.

First, I don't beleive in god, but some of my freinds do, but only because they have been taught to beleive in god since birth, and cannot see the world in any other way. Some people need that comfort and security that if they live a good life, it will continue on, or whatever. People are just afraid of the unknown, especially death. And religion, Christianity, has been the biggest scam this world will ever see. i don't understand that AT ALL, other than some people will beleive anything.

I'm athiest. So listen up. First it's obvoius you need help with english ( assume it's not your first language ).
Though I agree that god was created by man to explain the unexplainable he has persisted through the centurys because he has given people, nations, cultures, and families reasons to keep going.
People pray to god because of Faith ( Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence ). For many people the world is so harsh and scary that to not believe that there is a better place outside of what we see everyday would cause them to spiral into a dark place.
People find hope and goals in God. They belive that God loves them and read his bible because they feel drawn to his ideals and his love. His existance is proven to them by the change that he has made on there life. God helps those who help themselves ( I always hated that saying ) shows that God is there if you just prove your devotion.
Wars were fought for God, Nations were conquored for God and Civilizations were built and crumbled by, for and because of God.
I don't belive in God. But I do believe in Faith. Faith that you will get through the day saftly and happy. So if God give people faith then let them have God. I don't need God to tell me I'm a good person. I know I am. But some people need a Figure to look up to. God is that Role Modle that everyone wants to be. Pure, Love, Divine. God inspires people to be good. There is nothing wrong with that.

Gos is consequently subjective. although, there is not any solid data for Jesus, Yahweh, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any of the loads of alternative gods that individuals have worshipped. there is likewise extensive data that they are all purely myths, created to assist soothe our concern of loss of life, and perpetuated by faith to subjugate the underclass into obedience. technological know-how has shown that there is not any choose for gods to describe the classic motives for a god -- beginning place of the universe, beginning place of life, beginning place of species, beginning place of human beings, beginning place of morality. technological know-how additionally shows us the psychological motives that individuals have faith in god(s). in the evolutionary process of human beings, there came a point when our ancestors acquired the brain power to predict their own death. if you think about it, humans are the only species in the animal kingdom who can understand the inevitability of their own demise. i think it was only natural for them to begin to use their creative ability in order cope with this horrible, scary knowledge. That's where the concept of God and the afterlife starts to emerge. just a theory, hope it helps.

Your statements are your perception of the truth as you can not prove god doesn't exist, the same as I can't prove He does.

You could've saved a bit of space by re-phrasing your question as:
"Why aren't other people smart as me?"
But, you know, that would've sounded kinda arrogant and needy.
