I don't know whether the Dalai Lama arrived at that conclusion through observation or by reading medical journals, but it's a biological fact that people who live with constant stress, worry, anger and hatred, produce abnormal amounts of harmful, for lack of a better word, chemicals that act on vital organs, namely the heart. It only follows, then, that such people would experience deteriorating health. Unfortunately, they ain't come up with a happy pill to fix the problem.
