I take mine in two weeks, and I want to know the kind of things the testers are looking for. Do they pass you if you have trouble parallel parking? Is it easy, hard? What?

My driving test went well. Just remember to do everything gently and easily. No sudden starts or stops. Stop at the lines, then ease forward if needed for turns. Don't run yellow lights. Stay in your lane. Keep radio off. Our testers check that the car operates properly; lights, signals, horn, etc. They also care about things hanging off mirror & keychains that dangle down too far.

As for parallel parking. Remember your training, and follow their instructions. When I took mine, my first attempt left me a little too far from the curb, and I was about to pull up & back to ease in a little closer. But, my tester said "Pull out and try again" so I did. Second time was fine. I didn't argue with him that I could have fixed the first try easily.

Of course, our family has my mother's story. We moved here from another state that did not have parallel parking tests, so she was unfamiliar with them. After her driving test, when that instructor told her to park the car between the poles; he looked back up to se her trying to squeeze the car into the slot from the end, between the pole & the curb. She got to try again after it was explained to her.

Most times they do not pass people the first time. If you do you are real lucky. I think, I was going to pass the first time but then got an "automatic fail" careful with those you only get 1 chance.

just stay calm make sure you single, shoulder check and you should do fine.

And make sure you put on you're single when parallel parking they will look for that as part of it. If you take more then 3 trys ( I think) to parallel park I believe you do not pass.

(=GOOD LUCK=)

The most important is the driving, signalling, watching traffic (looking in mirrors). Parking is not worth a lot of points.
