I can't open multiple internet browser windows anymore. How can I fix this?

I used to be able to open multiple internet browser windows but can't anymore. I don't know if this is caused from my virus protection software but I can't seem to get any assistance from them. Is there a setting in my Internet Explorer that I am missing?

I think its in the control panel, preferences. I know ran across it once, same area as one click of the mouse or two to open a file.

after u opened ur browser(running)
press CTRL+N
