I done a hpt about 1 week ago and it was negative. I did another a few days ago and i THINK it had a very faint, barely could see it, positive line (if i was then i would've been about 4 weeks). Last night i started to get pains in my lower abdomen and i started to bleed. It was very heavy but there was no clots or anything like that. I'm still bleeding (not as heavy) and i'm still getting very bad pains in my stomach and i feel incredibly tired and upset, like i've lost something (something i don't actually know if it was ever there or not and i feel like i''m going mad). I am due to go the see my nurse tomorrow morning.

I don't know what to think. Would you bleed bad if you miscarried so early? Thanks.

If you miscarried that early you would have a period that is a bit on the heavy side, but otherwise normal. The same thing happened to me years ago...faint positive, 2 days later positive blood test, next day heavy period and then nothing. You wouldn't have the severe cramps, clotting, tissue passing etc of a 6 week or later pregnancy, as it would have only had time to develop to the size of a grain of sand.

I was bleeding very heavily at 6 weeks with my first child and had bad abdomen pains. I thought I was going to have a miscarriage and even my husband told me to let go. When I was checked at the hospital, I was told that the baby was still there but I had to lie down so gravity does not pull the baby downwards.

I stayed in bed until I was 12 weeks and all that time I was bleeding slightly. I had a beautiful baby girl and she will be 13 in December.

Things are not always what they seem. I wish you the best of luck.

You very well could have had a miscarriage. 43% of women miscarry about the time their menstrual is due and do not even know they were pregnant. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and never saw clotting, in fact I bled very light and went to the doctor for ultrasounds. They said that i was most likely about to lose it and had to do blood tests for the next couple of days to see. After it was confirmed the hcg level was going down, then I began to bled heavy for 3 days. But everyone's is different. Usually a test that says positive is correct, but not always. I would be sure tha tyou see your nurse and she can test and help you out. Be sure to contiune and take care of yourself like you are pregnant.

this happened to me i fell pregnant with my second child, when i took the pregnancy test there was a very very faint line only just visible. about two weeks later i started to get pains like period pains. when i went to the doctors she sent me to the hospital, there they had two do three pregnancy tests in order to confirm i was pregnant because the line was so faint. two days later i miscarried. but i knew from the start that something was going to happen. i would go to the hospital and tell them that you did a hpt and you think that you may have miscarried they will be able to tell you either way

If u never did a hpt u would just think your periods were late , alot of women dont even know they have been pregnant they just put it down to being late , so if u think u had a faint line and now ur bleeding , i guess if u were pregnant u may no longer be ....

No- I dont think it was a lost pregnancy. If the pregnancy hormone was detected in the test it would have shown a very prominent line. Sorry to dash your hopes but Its happened to me before.

Go see the nurse, Im sure it's just another bad period.
