i liked it for 2 reasons

1. i respected the way the director didnt sanitize the horrors of the hijacking. he showed it as it was.

2. what moved me the most was the way the passengers did whatever they could to stop the terrorists. it was very balsy what they did and that shows us what a true american is. that even times of crisis and horror, there is still room for heroism and bravery. thats the main reason why i bust out crying for five minutes. i give every bit of respect in my body to those who gave their lives to save others.

Just watched it on DVD last night. I liked that didn't really have any "stars" and that a lot of the people in the control towers played themselves. But one answerer was right, what if you were one of the family members who received a call from the doomed flight that day? Would you really want to see how it happened and see what your loved one went through? On the other hand, it would make me proud to know that my loved one was so brave and accepted his or her fate and chose to save the president by ending his or her own life.

I sure did. I agree with your beautifully stated reasons. I did not know the passengers were that close to retaking the plane. It also showed the chaos in the FAA, control towers and the military command post as the morning's events unfolded. Unfortunate, but very real.
