I agree, that's very painful - I have diabetes so can't have cuts on my legs because of the danger of infection. I use an electric razor, and it never cuts me. It takes a while to get used to the kind of shave an electric gives you though, and some of them are expensive. I have seen at my local Walgreens, a cheaper version, about $10, that uses batteries. My husband tried one and it worked great. Probably would have lasted longer if he'd ever cleaned it, but it gave him a close shave on his face.

Use a shaving gel and make sure your blade isn't blunt. I use the mac 3. It vibrates (calm down) but when you shave it doesn't feel like shaving. When i shave my knees i bend them so there's no knobbly bits and i stop shaving just above the ankle.

You have to look for a good shaving gel/cream and always have good set of shaver. Change blades of the shaver often because dull ones tend to cut you more! (I know that for myself...)
Or you can try Veet hair removal lotion instead of shaving! It works really well and doesn't burn your skin compare to Nair!

Use shave cream. Nutrogena makes a really good one, my husband loves it, he says it gives him the closest shave ever. Get a good razor. Also, slow down, and don't press so hard.

Slow down, especially in those areas.
Do not use a dull blade.
Change the angle you do those spots. There migth be a tiny wrinkle of skin the blade is catching on.
Shave less often to give your skin a break.
