I've noticed a particularly fat goldfish of mine behaving abnormally slow and lethargic. The other goldfish in the outdoor pond seem fine. Could she be pregnant? What behavior indicates pregnancy. I'm unable to look for any dark area on the abdomen. I just want to make sure the fish isn't sick. Ive had outdoor goldfish for about 10 years and most of the fish I have were born in my pond. Any advice?

I would try and look closely at the fish, without disturbing it. It is either pregnant, or has a terrible sickness called dropsy, which usually ends the life of all fish unless you can treat it properly.
Dropsy is when the fish's body collects water inside and his/her belly expands to the degree in where the scales protrude.

The water temp. has to be warm to lay the eggs. If they live in a pond make sure the water is clean. I have outdoor fish too. It helps to let the mother have her own space to lay though.
