i was hurt on the job whent to there doc they gave me restrictions i called the owner told him what they where he said i can't come in i seen there doc. again 2 days later he gave me the same restrictions called the owner now he says to come in i'm still hurt and the meds they gave me makes me tierd and dissy do i have to go to work?

They have to wait until your doctor releases you to at least light duty. It sounds like your employer is willing to meet the light duty restrictions set by the doctor, so you can either go in, or lose your job. Your other alternative is to convince your doc that you can't work at all.

As long as your employer assigns you work that is within the restrictions imposed by your doctor, you must return to work.

If he offers you work and it sounds like light duty and you refuse, he can fire you. Also, he can fire you anyway depending on state you live in. One other thing tell your doctor you are in pain and dizzy and cannot work.

do you have a union?
if not, you might be screwed
if yes, contact your shop steward
(there is a Family Medical Leave Act that might cover you, Google it)
