serious ?, Who should I donate my 2000 Oldsmobile Alero to?

i just bought a new car yesterday and what the dealer offered for me old car was both pathetic and insulting and i told them i'd rather donate it to a charity and get nothing material out of it than give it to them at such a price,

but i see that tons of charities will accept donated cars.

so my poll is: which charity should I donate it to?

the alero probably needs $1,000 worth of work on it in order to last more than a few hundred more miles, but most charity's don't use donated vehicles

booga, some charity's get a significant portion of their revenues from donated cars. they don't typically use them, they scrap them and sell them for parts, or even just scrap metal.

people with cars who are in pretty crappy shape are encouraged to donate them to charity

we donated our truck (in miserable shape!) to the American Kidney Foundation. I believe they sold it for scrap and got their money that way and we got to write off $1500 on our taxes the next year as a charity donation! Call your local Red Cross and ask them who takes donations of old cars

I'd donate it to the ronald mcdonald house so parents(who don't have a car) with sick kids,can travel back and forth to see them.

the main charity i know that accepts old cars is your local rescue mission. they uses the cars to deliver goods and stuff.
