It takes alot out of your body to make a baby and food is energy and that is what you need to grow a baby.

The baby is taking a lot of youir nutrients and you body will crave them.

Some of the same hormones that can cause you to binge on the chocolate before menstruation, at least in very early pregnancy. Later will come constant hunger due to the rapid development of the baby.

during early pregnancy the placenta is being built. this consumes so much energy that when you are resting you are using as much energy as if though you were climbing a mountain. this will obviously not only make you very tired but will also make you very hungry.
