i need hand sewing help?

i need help sewing by hand i know how to sew its just i forgot where to tie the knotdo i tie it in one end of the thread or both by folding it please help

If you are sewing with a double thread, knot the end with both ends together. ===(*)

If only using a single thread, just knot the longest end. ===-----(*)

Hint - hems are about the only place you would want to use a single thread.

Sometimes, using two threads is too visible, but sometimes you need the strength of two.

Single thread - knot the longer thread

Double thread - make the ends even and knot them like you do the single thread

pull the thread though the eye of the needle too they are equal lenth and tie the knot at the end. pull the thread till its just about to the end and then loop the thread through an then pull it tight and that will give you your start stitch.
