We just brought home a male beta & he has made a huge bubble nest. We want to get a female but we don't want her to kill him. Any advice?

put a male and a female in the same tank. they may fight, but probably won't kill each other. then just leave them together until she's pregnant. but when she lays the eggs, put the eggs in a separate tank, because right after they're born the bettas might kill them. good luck!

first of all it is the female who is going to be beaten by the male ! and ofcourse they will fight at first but certainly will not kill each other ! if u want information on breeding them just mail back to me ok !
