look at the picture under Chickens as Pets By Kathy Bernhardt.

I have chickens that look like these and I was wondering what kind they were. If you can help, thanks

The first ones are probably Barred Rocks with poor markings. The second picture has a Mille Fleur (my favorite). The third one is either a Cochin or a Porclein (sp?) D'uccle. I can't tell for sure because I can't see the tail. I'm sorry. None of these are Silkies. They don't have the right feathers.

My wife and I saw one In a barnyard the other day and I could not hang a name on it. I took one look at your picture and, said barred rock.I worked in the poultry business for 17 1/2 years.

The one with the furry or feathered feet is a Silkie
and the one black and grey and white spotted one in the first photo is a barred rock the red one with it could be either a red sex link or a rhode island red
the tanish spotted one I have no clue about what it is.
Look at www.mcmurrayhatchery.com
or at
www.welphatchery.com
They sell birds and should have pages with pictures of what they will look like.
I have barred rocks and they are nice laying birds.
