Im supposed to write a short story for my english class and its supposed to be about courage. Like someone who did something for someone else even though that person they helped wouldnt do it for them. Any ideas anyone? I really need help with this one even though its a simple topic. What should i write ?

While many people will select the whole obvious (and worthy) 9-11 courage topic, I suggest you pick something more obscure...like the courage of the medics during the Vietnam war, the courage of a single mother trying to make a good life for her kids, the courage of the medical teams that go into war-ravaged countries like Uganda to help the children... I am sure you can find someone close to you to interview and get their take on courage as well... good luck!

Colonel Jeb Stuart (the Grayghost of the Confederate Army under Lee) was an exceptionally brave man. The Union Army feared even the sound of his name shouted aloud by charging Confederate infantry and often would abandon positions if they just imagined his powerful calvary units to be nearby.
That would be a nice essay about a very brave soldier and part of our national heritage.
