I want to see if anyone can provide some insight to my dream.

I've had a recurring dream over the last two weeks that my best friend of 14 years repeatedly kidnaps me.

In one she was a cop assigned to protect me and my sister while my husband was out of town. While showing me around her house she hit me over the head while I am not looking, knocking me out. Then did the same to my sister.

Another time she visited me at work and sprayed me and my boss with her perfume bottle causing us both to pass out.

There are others but all involve her knocking me (and whomever I'm with) out in some form or another. When I come to she is usually gone.

We do not fight at all and see each other a couple of times a week. She was the maid of honor in my wedding.

Is there any significance to being knocked unconscious in a dream? Especially by my best friend?

Thanks. JJ

This is my own interpretation, I did not refer to any books on this one. Have you ever noticed when people (especially women and children) are hit in the head, they cry. It doesn't even have to hurt that bad, you could have worse pain with cramps or burning your hand, but it makes you cry. I think that the head is very personal and when you get a blow to it, it is emotional.
The part about knocking you out I think has to do with anticipation, you see the weapon nearing and there is nothing you can do to stop it you just have to cringe and wait for the impact. The anticipation for the blow is kind of significant, I think.
The reason the person is your best friend is because she is a consistent person in your life, not a family member you have known your whole life whom you have a built in trust for, and not a boyfriend who may come and go and to a certain extent you may expect a crushing (emotional) blow from somewhere down the line.
In summary, I think your dream represents your fear of emotional trauma which has a way of coming out of nowhere and taking you down. It doesn't have anything to do with lack of trust for your friend or a psychic intuition not to trust her.

You have the same dream again. You know that she is going to taking you to her house and is going to knock you and your sister out. You relax and while you remember that in 4 second she is going o knock you out. You was in your old position and bang she trys to knock you out from the blue but you turn around just in time to catch her sing. You grab hold of her hand and you push her away. Than she say, okay I didn't want to show you this but follow me. You guys go to the back yard and o man there are so many hot and cute looking guys half naked. You guys ran out and jump into the pool and all the guys are swimming closer. Up to you what happens next!

Dear J.J.
According the "The Dream Book - Symbols for self-understanding, written by Betty Betherds, here is what your dream(s) mean: When you dream of your sister it means the femanine part of self. Qualities in yourself you project on a sister or sister like figure in your life. Perception of relationship with actual sister or person sister represents. When you dream of being "hit" it represent lashing our and criticizing your self or another. The need for acceptance, self-love and expression of needs and feelings. Dreaming of being "kidnapped" stealing from part of yourself. Examine how you are sabataging your wholeness. Perfume represents sweetness luxury, and indulgence. Dreaming of a "house" represents the self. But there are different rooms in the house and that is also a whole other meaning depending on what room you are in. Husband means Masculine part of self. Qualities you project on husband. Perception of relationship with him.
So there are the meanings of all of the words. Here is the interpertation of what it really means. We all have a femanine and a masculine side within us. This is telling me that you are having trouble with feeling left alone. And there is also an underlying jealousy thing going on with you and your sister. You don't feel you are "as good" as she is. I am not sure why, but this is what is going on. In our dreams our subconscious mind comes through in strange ways. Try to examine why you might feel insecure to your sister, and why you feel abanded by your husband. You just might try relaxing and not worrying so much. This dream feels as though it was created by worry more than reality. I hope that this helps you understand what is going on. The part of jealousy came through with the perfume. I do this for a living (Along with many other things.), so if you have any other questions you can e-mail me at cinson1999@yahoo.com
God Bless

Sounds like the dream is not about the knocking out but more about the betrayal of your trust.
It's very possible this dream is not about HER doing it, but about someone else you love and trust who has done this to you. Your friend is just a symbol of that other person (or thing). It's also possible that you yourself are the person betraying yourself. If you got a serious illness you could feel like your body is betraying you, or something like that.

I have dreams that are repeated, I think that maybe she is trying to tell you something or she is keeping something from you but she wants to tell you and can't find a way. Talk to her and let her know about your dreams and see if there is something that she needs to tell you or a secret. Good Luck
