I'm a Sophomor in high school and I am in my second year of Spanish. I'm in Spanish 3..I skipped Spanish one..I took Spanish since I was in 5th grade......but i hate it with a passion and am looking to drop it as soon as I can..any idea when I'll be able to?? Thanks!!

Completely depends on the college and it's requirements. Some colleges only partially transfer high school language credit, so no matter what, you may be required to take some more foreign language anyway.
However, some colleges offer courses other than foreign language classes to fulfill that section of req's.

My recommendation: start talking to college reps or look at the websites of the ones you're interested in. Request their course catalogs, they'll have all the info you need about what you'll be required to take.

if u want to go to a competitive college, stick with it at least one more year. Check out the colleges u think u might want to attend as to their requirements. The more prestigious the college, probably the more years they require. Some colleges only want one yr if that many.
Be sure to talk to your college counselor so u want make a decision u regret later.

Three years of a single language will suffice just about any college requirement.
