First, just find the area of the glass
12*18=216
Then, find the area of the frame
like I did here:

Sides + middle + corner

OR, a simpler method would be to do this:
First, take the top and then add 2 for one side and 2 for the other. So it becomes 16. Then do the same for the second side and it becomes 22.
Do 16in x 22in and you get 352in^2

ok 12+2+2 because the frame is on both sides = 16
18+2+2 for the same reason = 22

area = lenght by breath ,
there fore 16 by 22 =352 ich squared

you should just add 4 to both numbers (you have 2 inches of frame on BOTH sides) and multiply the numbers. I get 352 inches or 29 1/3 ft.

The "correct answer" is wrong. This sometimes happens. Really.

The correct setup is: (12*18+2*2+2*2)*2/[(2*2)/2]

That will give you the REAL answer.
