If you have to ask, you are probably unfit. These days anybody goes there as a tourist. However, people don't realise how dangerous it actually is for for inexpeienced climbers and hikers to even get to base camp. At the very least you will need to have experience in high altitude cold climate hiking to even think about getting to Base Camp safely, which means that you will need to be fairly fit.

Depends.If your 26stone then just stick to eating your kebabs you wont be allowed on a plane to get there,but if your only 6 stone 7 pounds then go for it.The himalayan regions are well known for there high winds and being so light you could reach the summit without walking and better still in super duper record time
