I left a procelain skillet on the stove surface burner too long at high temperature? The paint came off the skillet and stuck to the electric element on a surface burner.

That happened to me too...with an enamel burner cover. I never did get it off, and eventually just bought a new element for the burner. (Mine are the plug-in kind, so it wasn't difficult)

I had the porcelain Burned onto my electric burning element. I removed the burner element And I used a die grinder with a stone and carefully ground it away. After reassembly, The burner works great! Hope this helps you!

actually combine the last 2 answers....turn it on high...get a knife or similar type scraper and scrape while its hot and melted a bit
