Honestly I support the President for his office. I know my community will benefit from the no child left behind program. I know the federal funding for the shelters I volunteer has gone up. I know he is the first President to have an energy plan since Carter. I support the environmental issues such as his willingness to sign the Kyoto agreement if China and India are made part of it. I support the 300% increase in the Marine wildlife preserve area. I support his stance on the inheritance tax as my friends had lost their family farm because of the taxes incurred.
I don't support his war on terror. I feel it is political pandering for votes using fear mongering to keep the GOP in power. For evidence I submit the Patriot Act which though completely defines the terms of security of the Canadian border, the document has no mention of our Southern boarder, obviously a political move to maintain Hispanic votes. I think his stupidity allowed Ahmed Chalabi and the INC to use our troops to conduct a military coup in Iraq. I think he has used the "war on terror" as an excuse to illegally expand and abuse the executive branch's power.
Neocons, ask your self what your thoughts would have been if Clinton had acted this way after the attacks on 2/26/93?
I believe any good President could have accomplished reform in education, environment, taxation but only Bush could have brought us into this quagmire in Iraq. Thus I would submit ignorance can be the ONLY excuse for maintaining your support of Bush.

It's not whether or not you are stupid--it is whether or not you are paying attention or analyzing the situation. I see so many people who know nothing about all the lies Bush told. They are having a good time, living a good life. They accept what they hear on the "conservative republican" owned TV networks and radio and believe it. I've even heard a dentist campaign for a repub and told people that the folks without medical care would just have to get by on their on and make it or die. So, it all lies in how much do you love America, how much compassion do you have, how honest do you want your government to be, and what is in it for you. I am one that saw the light when I first heard Bush was running for president. There has been an evil aurora sweeping the whole country ever sense and some people have no sense of foreboding on this. Maybe our nation will never be strong and respected again, but it for sure will not unless we make some drastic changes in DC.
