Switch your Gmail account to be pop3 accessable - through "account" link and set it to have all messages pop3 downloadable.

Take a look at the special setting you'll need for Thunderbird.

Install Thunderbird, and put in the special settings.

Connect, and go make a sandwich / lunch. If you're like most people this will take a while.

All e-mails will now be on your computer to burn onto disk.
